I am useing VLC to convert a video file to  mp4 and I want it to do it at  One Thousand bits per sec.

But in the bit rate box it has    kbps   typed in

So I typed the number  1   infront of the   kbps.

This makes it  1,000bps    because the  k  stands for  1,000

So I don't want to put  the numbers  1000  infront of   kbps   that would be
    1,000,000bps  RIGHT

Use Quick Media Converter - It's free. Don't use VLC to convert a file.

I tryed Format Factory to convert my VOB file  and this one file wont convert so I did it in VLC.
Can you tell me why you don't like it?

And I tryed Qwick Media Converter  and it allways tells me I will get a watter mark.

Is it all free and all  the settings I like to Tweek it?

Why do you want such a tiny bitrate? You wouldn't be able to see anything when you play the result. A typical bitrate range for normal viewing on a TV or phone would be around 1000 kbps to 5000 kbps. I think you have misjudged by a factor of 1000. You have got bps and kbps confused. Check out bitrate arithmetic on Wikipedia.

      Note: 1 Mbit = 1000 kbit

      Quote
16 kbit/s – videophone quality (minimum necessary for a consumer-acceptable "talking head" picture using various video compression schemes)
          128 – 384 kbit/s – business-oriented videoconferencing quality using video compression
          1.15 Mbit/s max – VCD quality (using MPEG1 compression)
          3.5 Mbit/s typ - Standard-definition television quality (with bit-rate reduction from MPEG-2 compression)
          9.8 Mbit/s max – DVD (using MPEG2 compression)
8 to 15 Mbit/s typ – HDTV quality (with bit-rate reduction from MPEG-4 AVC compression)
          19 Mbit/s approximate - HDV 720p (using MPEG2 compression)
          24 Mbit/s max - AVCHD (using MPEG4 AVC compression)
          25 Mbit/s approximate - HDV 1080i (using MPEG2 compression)
          29.4 Mbit/s max – HD DVD
          40 Mbit/s max – Blu-ray Disc (using MPEG2, AVC or VC-1 compression)

Can you do one thing for me type out the word not the number of how Low a bit rate you can go with H246?

If it has not action I thought I could go with  ONE Thousand bits per sec.
Or sould I go with One Million bits per sec?

With no action maybe 1 kbit/sec. Why are you asking? Why don't you just try it?

Soory I ask because I want the Most compresson with good video.

I looked all over the net and I get all diferant numbers.

          I see they say
          500 bits per sec
          1,000 bits per sec
          600,000 bits per sec

Why don't you perform some experiments?

Any Video Converter is a great conversion program. Pick one of the presets and it sets everything you need. It's free, no watermark, easy to use.

You could also try TVC(trial version) and supports most audio, video formats.
