    i tried advanced startup options nothing worked only blank screen, even in safe modeHuh?

    immediate help would be appreciated.

    With no more information that what you gave, it is like trying to play baseball in the moonlight on a cloudy night.

    So, I am entitled to three wild guess, -Right?
    strike one - The  laptop battery is flat,  you forgot the AC.
    strike two - After changing  Desktop Video, forgot a cable.
    strike three  - Bum install of Linux zapped the hard drive.

    Hey, we are in the dark here. Some light please.  8)

      soory dude@Geek-9pm i forgot to give any proper details, next time no more baseball in moonlight

      as to the problem it all started when the vga cable connected  to my moitor become loose, after that i corrected it and can boot through kubuntu but xp is not staring

          I have selected safe mode still no luck. do i have to format my pc   :'(

          Why don't you DESCRIBE your problem - in detail - here in this thread. What led up to the issue, what happens now, etc. The idea is for you to make it easy for us to help you. Asking us to click on a link and view a video isn't as helpful as having you take the time to describe everything in detail. A loose connection to the display will not prevent the system from booting.
