deleting your own post??

How do i go out about deleting my own post?? i mistakenly put it up twice on my post....

If you are quick, you can edit the post, remove most of it, and replace it with a short remark that makes some sense.
But no, you can not delete the entire post.

Going back to an earlier time period in this forum, you could delete posts.  That option was removed for good reason.  Occasionally, someone who had initiated a forum discussion would delete their original post even though numerous other members had responded to the original post.  This damages or completely destroys the value of a discussion thread. 

I know many forums do not permit deletion of posts, most likely for the same reason.
