Check Gateways site for instructions on creating 1...
NOTE: Most Recovery CD's will wipe all data and take the machine back to Day One status...

Are you sure this is what you want to do ? ?

coincidentally within the last few minutes i was just reading this site--see if it helps. I have NOT used their products--but many sources suggest them and seem to endorse them. truenorth

This question (which seemed to be the thrust of your query) "does anyone know where i can go to make a recovery or boot disc " deals with one issue. But now you are changing the question. In fact should you proceed with responses given (such as my own) you could seriously impede your ability to do what you are seeking in your 2nd post. They are two very different issues. truenorth
