Java Installation Error

I need Java for my fantasy football draft...however, everytime I try and install it, I get this message:

"This installation package could not be opened.  Verify that the package exists, and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package."

That appears after Windows installer attempts to install.

under the file's properties, this is what The file is:

Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition binary

I really have no idea what to do about this!

That seems like a reoccuring error. Try the Java forums as we have never been able to supply anyone with an answer to that problem.
