I am using windows 7, 64 bit and just downloaded Internet Explorer 9. When I attempt to open a file from my desktop using IE9 I get a box "Do you want to open or save this file." If I click "open" the file does not open. If I click "save" the file does not open. This did not happen when I had IE8, I just simply clicked the desktop icon and the file opened. Is there another step that I must use before my files open. Thanks for your help and I look forward to any suggestions to help me open my files from my desktop.
