Modem Has no Dial tone

Please Help.  I am not getting a dial tone when I try to connect to the internet.  I have tried all the troubleshooting dell has to offer.  The driver has been reinstalled etc.  But, I get no dial tone.  The phone line is good and works with my phone and other computer.  Can anyone help? :-/

You should configure the modem in Windows according to your ISP's settings.

Make sure you have the phone line plugged into the correct modem socket.
