Double click... twice!
« on: July 16, 2011, 09:29:22 PM »
My PC runs Vista Premium 2007.
When I want to open a brand new page in Word, it is ok, BUT double clicking an existing icon brings out a window saying: <<Windows cannot find "......doc" Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again>> (Note: it doesn’t say <<docx>>!).
And it shows only the <frame> with some icons (but not all). This frame background is the usual blue colour. The <white> page, the one we work upon does not appear.
Then when I double click again the icon I've just clicked before, the <white page> where we can work upon opens! Every time!
My technician doesn't know why... Please, help!!! And remember to be specific on yor answer please: I don't know computing that well!!! hahaha!
Tanks in advance!

If you are using microsoft office software, there is a repair feature built into it. I would try a repair of it. It sounds to be corrupt.
