No matter what browser I use, everything is running extremely slow!

I have tried everything I could find on Google, and no matter what things have been really slow lately. I wasn't sure if I should put this here or in the malware/virus forum. But, I first noticed it with my Safari, and even when I use another browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox, things are still extremely slow. It takes up to a minute for a page to load, and sometimes it takes too long and times out. I've tried resetting each browser, emptying cookies/cache/history/the works, and nothing has been able to speed it up. I've also tried different networks to see if it was my internet, but no matter what I'm connected to it's still painfully slow. I'm not sure if maybe I have too many programs running or what, but if someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it! I have avast! Antivirus and Online Armor running. Have you tried anything to search for and remove any potential malware and spyware?  Try Spybot Search and Destroy or Malwarebytes.  I've been using them and AVG Free antivirus for years with great results and no issues.

Spybot is old school. If you are using MalwareBytes or Super AntiSpyware that's fine - do not install Spybot.

Same with Avast - it's fine. Do not switch to AVG.

Yep! I've tried Malwarebytes and Spybot. But, since Allan said that I'll uninstall Spybot. They both came up clean, nothing there. I thought maybe since I have Avast and Online armor running it was making things slow, but I'm not sure. I wanted to ask you guys for help before I took any action.

How much RAM do you have?

The only things that are slow are browser functions, is that correct (page loading, etc)? If so, the amount of ram is not relevant - especially since the problem is new.

I'd suggest letting SuperDave take a look and make sure it isn't malware. Please follow the instructions in the following link and post your logs in the thread you create (NOT in this thread):

Alright, thank you Allan! I was hoping it wasn't that but I guess I'll see. SuperDave has helped me before! Thank you guys and I'll let you know how it goes.

It may very well not be malware, but the symptoms would lead one to believe it may be. Good luck either way.

First of all you should check RAM and secondly install a good anti-virus software.It will definitely help you out.

You can also reset Internet Explorer settings if you had made any unwanted changes to the browser.

For this, you need to close down all Windows Explorer windows and Internet Explorer in your system.

From Start menu, select Internet Explorer and in the Tools Menu select ‘Internet Options’.

Click the ‘Reset’ button to get Internet Explorer changes removed.

You need to close and reopen Internet Explorer to save the changes made to it.

Sometimes it is due to the registry stored at your system, try to use some disk cleaning options, and also install Ccleaner on your system, it is quite useful.
