Help with small form factor upgrade...???
« on: July 06, 2011, 06:15:52 PM »
I need to know if I'm able to upgrade the video card and power supply in this ridiculous Acer Aspire AX1420G-U5832 that I recently acquired.  I don't care whether it is external power supply or internal, I just can't seem to find one.  I'm looking to upgrade to a video card that requires 350+ watts of power.  I have the PCIE 2 x16 slot.  I know I can insert a card.  I just need the power to run it.  CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ASSIST ME???

Use it the way it is.  Not worth upgrading, find a different computer.

    Hi teagueum,

You only have a 220W power supply. I would say this is a poor choice of computers if you plan to add a video card.

Take a look at computers like the one I linked. They're a bit more expensive, but they already include the video card.
