    Your first post was unclear.
Do sou have a real Windows XP install disc tat is certainly legit?
Did you buy a DVD or CD from eBay that has Windows 7?
CD or DVD, which? Windows 7 hardly fits on a CD.
What  does the label on the Win 7  disc say?
Can give us the item number on eBay?
Others are curious to see who sells Windows 7 on eBay. Even after the sale, it is possible to look up an old item number.

    Was it like this?

Do any bootable disks work in your computer?

    see here:

    Also,
What exactly does it say on this XP CD ? ?

Like, what's printed on the CD? What does it say on the disk?

I had a problem registering win 7 ultimate

What do you mean here? Product/License key for 1 or 10 users? Where in Windows does it prompts you to register Win 7?

It looks the same as the box geek displays .. the seal on the box which is baby blue color, the number reads BTS-- 2715006-MSIN..  SCAN NUMBER IS   8  8222488562  1
The dvd reads .....includes windows anytime upgrade ...    32 bit software 2009 microsoft corporation ...  x15-60560-01     ..Do not lend or make illegal copies ....Windows 7 ultimate .. The person who sold this is no longer an ebay seller

The OP may wish to read this from MS:
      http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/
He may also wish to contact eBay.

It would appear that the vendor sold a version of Windows 7 that is only for use on one computer. If so, that would cause failure to validate.

But, there is another possibility. Maybe it was an upgrade version.

If so, the vendor should have said that in his eBay ad.

Hello and thanks to all who responded..I contacted microsoft and was told this belongs to a company that somehow has a limited use with this software and this one has expired. So I was told to return this to them for a piracy claim which I did today.
