having trouble with the run button

When i press window's and R to bring up RUN, i type in what i want and click run, a black box appear's on screen for about 2 sec's and goe's away.

I tried it last night and to-night about 5 time's, can anyone tell me way it's not working.

I have been trying, sfc /scannow and also ipconfig /all

Try this.

Start>accessories>command prompt  right click on command prompt and click on pin to taskbar.

Try this.

Start>accessories>command prompt  right click on command prompt and click on pin to taskbar.

ok that's done, when i click it this below come's up.

You should get a prompt.  No prompt?  When I clicked on your screen capture I saw a prompt.

where it say's harry the curser flash's and that's all. If i type something in there is no run button.

Nothing new about the Command Prompt panel; it's been around since Win 95 or longer.

Nothing new about the Command Prompt panel; it's been around since Win 95 or longer.

Thank's soybean, it's just i had no call to use it before, in XP i think all i had to do click start, type in and click run.

tried to run sfc /scannow, and it say's, " you must be admin running a console session in order to use the sfc utility ".
