    All kinds of booting problems.
    « on: July 19, 2011, 02:13:43 PM »
The problems are piling up and driving me insane. Please help.

When I try to start up my computer, it does one of several things. 1) it doesn't beep at all and therefore needs several hard reboots before it gets to my screen. 2) Blue screen of death. 3) Freezes once in windows and needs to be hard booted to start again.

By the way, I can only load into my OS through the disk as apparently I am missing my boot manager. I have tried to reinstall the OS and have tried repairing it but without the disk in my drive I cant get into windows 7.

I have attached my DxDiag if that helps.

    Thanks in advance.

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

The newest hardware would be a wireless-N usb 2.0 adapter but I have been using it for 8 months with no problems until now. I took it out and restarted computer without disk and still couldn't get past "no boot manager screen" without the start up disk.
I run virus protection regularly  and have found nothing.
I suppose it could be a boot up virus but not sure how to find out besides running a virus scan which finds nothing.

Boot to the W7 dvd and try startup repair options.
