Or, you could underclock, but than your entire system will slow to a crawl.

Also, if you are trying to run certain software that gives "runtime error 200" on faster machines (such as, for example, programs compiled with Borland Turbo Pascal (TPC)) than you will need to patch those programs with the TPPATCH program, which can be found here.

However, it sounds like you need to run specific software; if you could tell us what specific software you want to run, we may be able to help further.
