    minidumps
    « on: July 23, 2011, 11:14:20 AM »
Hello all, My pc has been having frequent minidumps, sometimes several a day. The most common reasons are IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. Sometimes it's CACHE_MANAGER. My pc is Zoostorm G31 VB series M8 Intel Celeron 512 MB 32 bit OS Vista Home Basic. I have the free version of Avast anti virus. When I try to access the minidump files, I get a window saying windows cannot open the file and needs to know what programme I want to use to open it. I don't know much about computers. Please can anyone help me?

    Download BlueScreenView:
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply
