Rather difficultly.

You should try starting in safe mode to see if it still happens. Safe mode does not load any programs and disables most Windows services.

Hi Raptor
Yes when started in safe mode the error goes, but back when started normally does this give any ideas?

Have found that by turning off qttask the error goes, but in it place is a box that comes up saying (you have altered the system config utilityand requesting it be put back to normal)
There is a box to tick for not showing this message again but it still appears.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

qttask is related to Apple Quicktime. (QuickTimeTask, I believe)

You should uninstall and remove any entries related to Quick Time. This is not software required to operate Windows.

Shows once again that Quick Time is malware in a special way.

place a disk like a cd in the combo drive...........and play it..then eject it..and then reboot pc.......to see if it clears the error box....

Good to hear that solved it. Malware is software that damages your operating system or is just a general nuisance. Like Quicktime in this case.
