How can I do BCD edit? Easy
« on: July 30, 2011, 09:07:11 PM »
How can I do BCD edit? You know, the thing that changes the boot order in a dual-boot Vista or 7 OS that also has another OS on the same drive e. Mine have XP.
I did this once, but I think the free tool is no longer available.
So I looked at the command list. Oh NO!  :o
I don't think I have every found it so hard to do something so simple. It is like going to a store and asking for finger nail clippers and they sell you a Swiss pocket knife.

I found this link:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2676-bcdedit-how-use.html
But first you have to read this:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html?ltr=E

Heavy reading gives me insomnia, so I beg you, is there an easy way? And no. I do n;t want to buy anything. I just want to change the boot order. Please!

This is why I like GUIs.
A GUI for the BCDEdit stuff.
In Soviet Russia, iPhone touch you. Computer shut you down. Mouse click you. Floppy inserts you. Yahoo answers you. Man in TV watches you. Computer game addicts you. Guitar shreds you. Motherboard fries you. The laughter in manslaughter is put back in.
