You really need to provide more information.

What are the specs of your PC (is it desktop or laptop). Are you specs higher than the games recommend specs.

Is it a bought game or are you playing using steam?

What do you mean 'updated graphics card'?

    11 cheers for binary !

Um, did you at least look at my profile?  It has all the specs, and I updated the graphics driver!  And the specs are better than recommended....  Please check my profile

Are you playing in Multi-player ??

Also, this site states that you have not got the recommended specs for graphics card (as your graphics card is built-in to the motherboard)

If what you're saying is true, then how am I able to run the game.  It doesn't lag all the time, just when I look in certain directions.

Laptops are designed for office work and working on the move, not gaming or anything graphically intensive, so this is why they all come with average graphic capability.

how am I able to run the game.
Get a desktop or a higher spec laptop.

Unless another member has got any ideas !!

          But when you say -
It doesn't lag all the time, just when I look in certain directions.
It does kinda look like the graphic capability.

What I'm asking is, is there anyway I can advance the capability of the laptop, or am I screwed over?

Laptops aren't meant for gaming and they are not easily upgraded.

I know they're not meant for gaming, some are however.  Does anyone know how to upgrade them?

Ok, people seem to not be answering the question here.

Sorry, but no, there's nothing you can do about it with that laptop. As with most laptops, the video card isn't upgradable.

Intel chipsets are horrible for gaming, even the HD models. They'll work for HD video, but not 3D gaming. Even low settings are going to be a struggle. If you're interested in gaming, the next time you invest in a laptop or desktop computer, get one with an Nvidia or ATI chipset.
