    Desktop still crashing... :-(
    « on: August 12, 2011, 02:55:02 PM »
My 2008 Dell Inspiron 530, with Vista went to the shop this week because it was shutting down unexpectedly.

$150 later, it is still crashing.  The message i got on the blue screen today started with 'diffuse driver.....'.  Then
"Module C:/windows/system32/macromed/flash/flash9b.ocx failed to register.  HRESULT-2147220473. Contact your
    support personnel.'

Should the computer go back to the original repair shop, or should I try someone new?  Thanks, Bowen

Hi, on your 1st visit in the repair shop, what's their recommendation after they fixed the problem? And what's their resolution?

I would uninstall flash and re-install.
