    Does anyone know where to get really cheap solid state hard drives for desktops and laptops?

      Ebuyer in the UK do a 2.5 inch 60 GB SSD for £78.98, and Amazon have OCZ 30 GB drives for £52.48. £1 = $1.63 at today's rate. I have no reason to doubt that proces are comparable elsewhere in the developed world. Really cheap ones are likely to be a scam.

        Okay, thanks....  I don't think I'll get solid state anymore....  I'm thinking of building my own computer

        SSD is not ready for prime time...and overpriced.

          I agree, it's really overpriced for a fast startup.  I don't care anymore about fast startups
