Hi all,

I cannot produce sound from my system
here is my lspci output I will appreciate any ideas

Hello and Welcome,
Seems like there's no audio driver installed. Ubuntu includes a tool which downloads and installs closed drivers.
Also, be advised that Ubuntu 11.04 is out now and there's a slight possibility that your audio card might be working out of the box.

Did you just install Ubuntu?

Are you sure your speakers work? Have you tested another set of speakers or headphones?

Make sure you don't have the sound muted. Double click the speaker icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Make sure all of your levels are turned up.

If you think this might be a driver issue, open terminal and do

find /lib/modules/`uname -r` | grep sndTell us what output, if any, that command produces.
