    add memory

    I just added memory to me computer 2 512 slots 1 GB when i to to administrative tools .computer  management,then disk mangement. it only shows CD ROM no other drive no c,d,e  what happen .when i go to computer and click prop it shows 1 GB memory ?

    What type of computer and model is it and operating system? How about Windows explorer? 2  sticks of 512 is 1 GB or 1024 to be exact.

      del computer windows xp before i install more memory i had two petition c and d (cd rom) after i added more memory know i only have 1 petition d (cdrom) no c where did it go

      Adding memory has no affect on hard disk drive partitions.  You have done something else you are not telling us.

      He may have pulled on the power or data cable on the hard drive when he add the RAM.

      Try to take the cover off and push the cables back into the hard drive and motherboard.....
