Overclocking Temperature and Nvdia Sparkle GT-240

My PSU is GForce Model: ATX-500W

1. How can I let my PC Usage become 100% so I know how hot it goes and if I can overclock more.

2. Sparkle GeForce GT 240 1GB

• On the Manual it says "Plug i the matching power cable as shown when your new card has a power connector and then attach the end to your system power supply"
  I DID NOT get a wire in the box
• My CPU suddenly goes off
  This NEVER happened before I got the GPU
  
• While playing Team Fortress 2
  Suddenly things are like invert colors
• How do I make sure the processor is not used for graphics

Crystal Disk will run the cars flat out thru various tests...if it crashes it's most likely the card...

P.S. the info i read on the card said although a PCI-e card no external power is needed.

500W is more than sufficient for the GT 240.
"Suddenly things are like invert colors" Does this happen with your onboard GPU? Were you overclocking when the issue occurred? How much did you overclock from stock settings?


Can you run Furmark and do the 720p preset benchmark to stress-test your GPU?


"How do I make sure the processor is not used for graphics?" It depends on the game-some poorly optimized games like Crysis put a full load on both the CPU and the GPU. If your game supports nVidia PhysX you might want to set your graphics card to render PhysX effects, not your CPU.
