    anyone know if this pc has a system recovery partion or if you need the cds.also a friend gave me this computer,4 different people had an account set up on it and they quit using it because none of them ,believe or not,could remember their passwords,anyway to get around this to get windows to load?

    Here is a link to the specifications for your laptop.

    <edit>  If you can't get the disks from them then you can give Sony a call.  They are pretty good about sending disks out to customers.  </edit>

      this is a desktop running windows xp home.my question is, is there a hidden recovery partition on this pc?i tried hitting F10 when it starts but it doesn't do anything.

      I was thinking desktop but still typed laptop.  I shouldn't post before my third cup of coffee.

      <edit>  I really can't see them having a recovery partition when they are including the disks.  That would just increase the cost.  </edit>
