    Hi
If I open a folder of data files and right click I get a shell menu with the option of arrange icons by name size type and modified. But if I do the same with a folder which contains sound files I get the options of arrange files in terms of album title duration artist track number etc. These options are useless to me as I would find it more helpful to arrange icons with the standard name type and modified. Can someone tell me how to get windows to do this? I'm sure its possible. I hate  windows when it thinks it knows what I want to do with something!!!!
    Windows XP 32 SP3
    thanks for your time

I think if you change the view to details, you should be able to click the header above the file names to get it to sort.

The Windows explorer shortcut view icon will show only the standard options.
