    medion laptop wont boot up,black screen

    i have a medion akoya e5312 laptop,when i try and boot it up all i get is a black screen,i cannot access the bios and no keys work,any ideas?

    If you look really closely at the screen, can you see anything (backlight burned out)? Can you hook the system up to an external monitor?

      no cant see anything just totally black,tried another monitor and still nothing

      Is there a function key to enable external monitor display for laptop? What happens prior to the blackscreen? Check optical drive if there might be a disc on tray and remove other external devices/card connected.
