Invalid System Disk

Daughters friend refromatted my old computer and now i am trying to reinstall windows.  All I get is "Invalid System Disk" no matter what I do.  No disk or Windows disk still the same message.  Any help will be appreciated.

What version of Windows are you attempting to install?

You have to set the CDROM to boot first in BIOS, and use a real or image backup Windows CD, to install that way.

Or you can set the floppy to boot first, use a Win98 EBR, and use a volume copy of the Win CD that recognises in the CD drive.
