Flash Download Problems
WindowsXP SP3
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20110902 SeaMonkey/2.3.3
(Note well:  Internally, SeaMonkey 2.3.3 is the same as Firefox 6.0.2.  They both use the same Gecko 6.0.2.   ...
you are sniffing for "Firefox" when you should be sniffing for "Gecko".  ...

Firefox 6.0.2 is not a "new" version.  Seems to me you're delving into something that's history now.  Also, the link you posted is a discussion where the original post referred to the SeaMonkey browser.  That whole discussion is just irrelevant to most users.

Please bear with me. I have been using FireFox 6 and I get a pop up just before my AV starts. And I also have used Sea Monkey. But the npop-up comes up before the any browser even starts. I thought this might be some issue with Adobe.
Later, I found this:

...which tells you which flash you already have.
I am already up to date with my current browser.

You should check to see if you have the latest version of Flash as that's where the issue probably lies...

I use http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to tell me what version I have and whether it's the latest version.

So, even though you're up-to-date, you see a popup saying an update to Flash Player is available?  Is that it?  Open every browser you have and go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and see whether they are all up-to-date.
