cannot record sound anymore

after my computer came back from having 1tb hard drive installed i found that the software that let me record anything i hear was telling me that it is unable to find any sound defualt on my change the sound card setting the speaker icons is ok because i can hear itunes you tube ect but when i click the recording tab everything is disabled and unplugged and when i try to enable it read not plug in on all of the icons

Were the sound drivers re-installed after you got it back ? ?

I think the sound driver where installed and when i went into the device manager and updated the driver it read latest driver has been installed and every thing is working fine
