First of all, let me say I am not getting a new card for any really heavy or graphics intensive games. The only things I play are different versions of The Sims (Medieval and Sims 3 including its most recent Pets expansion). The reason I am looking into this is primarily because I just got the Sims 3 Pets expansion and found that it is incompatible with my Intel G33/31 whatever card. (All the pets are majorly, frighteningly distorted.)
So here are my computer specs via dxdiag and then I will post the specs on some cards I am looking at. (Oh, I forgot to mention money is tight right now so I can't get anything very expensive. I just want to fix the incompatibility issue and if I come across a need for a better card later, I will look into it.)

And I haven't looked into ATI cards or any other kind yet. I know that some computers in the Gateway DX series come with an nVidia card but I couldn't find a way to look up compatibility on Gateways site since my PC is about 3 years old and they obviously have come out with newer and better machines.
