what is the difference between computer information science and computer information technology?
are they the same?
There aren't Computer Information Science and Computer Information Technology, as far as I'm aware.
There is Computer Science, and Information Technology.
The former two however are different. Computer Science is about as much about Computers as Astronomy is about telescopes; it's about studying algorithms, Big O notations of such, and so forth; much of Computer Science revolves around theory and concepts of algorithms and data structures than about computers. Information Technology is basically just learning how to use a computer to deal with information. From file management, to Photoshop, to 3ds max and even writing small tools.
