linksys wireless G notebook adapter
« on: September 09, 2005, 05:51:28 PM »
I installed this adapter on my laptop so I can use it in the hotel when I go on vacation next week. I installed using the CD, put the "thing" in and everything seems to be working fine. I dont have wireless access here at home, so I dont have any way to tell if its going to work. Are there any drivers that I have to install, or was that done with the CD? Is there anyting else that I need to do to make sure it works before I get where Im going and find out it doesnt work. Any information you can give me about this device would be great
thanks

Rather difficult without testing it first.

Make certain the device manager reports no error codes and that the device is recognized properly.

Does any one you know currently have wireless ? ?

Or check for internet cafes in your area....lot's of coffee shops and or Universities have wireless setups.
