My girl friends computer will not play audio cd's. When I open windows media player and try to play or burn a cd, it tells me there is no cd     found. Her computer will play movies from dvd's. Is there something that I can turn on or check?  She says it has never played cds.

I tried this media player and it does not read the disk either. Do you have any other suggestions?

Is it just one cd or all audio cds? Is it only home made discs or all discs?

It will not play any cds.  New or old.
