Mac Book Pro does not show up on my network
    « on: February 06, 2012, 05:58:35 PM »
I have a Dell computer Vostro 3550 running Windows 7. My wife's computer is a MacBook pro. Both computers have no problem connecting onto the internet. The router I am using is a Linksys wireless g 2.4. The problem I am having is that on my PC I do not see the MacBook yet on the MacBook my PC shows up. It would be nice to transfer files from on to another but if the MacBook is not listed on my PC it makes things a bit difficult. What suggestions would anyone have for having the Mac visible on the PC.

Check to see if file sharing is turned on in system preferences. Also while you have file sharing selected click on the options tab and turn on Windows SMB file sharing.
