Envision Monitor Graphics Problems
« on: February 05, 2012, 10:41:53 PM »
I have an envision monitor, Model G917w1
The monitor behaves as if the computer is sending no signal upon first plug-in
Then, if i change a monitor setting, the vidio feed seems to refresh
for a brief moment, it shows the computer output feed, but at a deep red tint. Not just red, but like darker than lunar eclipse red.
then after that brief moment, it goes back into hibernation..
i have tried multiple cables, both DVI and VGA, and all have the same result.
all help appreciated

As teachers have said before, you cant learn if you don't figure it out in your own mind.

If it is not the monitor and the cable, that leaves your computer...

I think you mean your CRT outlasting your monitor... ;)

Sounds like a bad monitor to me also. Like transfusion said, If you tried different cables and you refuse to believe its your monitor then that leaves only your computer left to test. Try a different monitor on the computer. If the other monitor works fine and you've already tried different cables, then it is definitely a malfunctioning monitor....sorry

Hardware Failure Denial Syndrome...

I've seen this before.
