Kernel32.dll
« on: February 10, 2012, 03:14:54 PM »
Hi. I have a problem when I trying to install some program (Internet Explorer 8) or to run. That's about an entry point for
EncodePointer and dynamic link with Kernel32.dll.

Thanks for helping me!

I think more info will be needed...
Are you re-installing IE ? ?
If so what troubles led up to this point ? ?

Yes, I'm trying to install IE8 but I can't because of Kernel32.
Windows don't say more than what I wrote in my first post.

It's Windows XP Home.
I watched for the SP in System Information but I saw nothing about that. I looked also in the computer's properties and there's no info.
And this computer is pretty outdated, but I can't update it because of Kernel32 and some other unknown bugs ???.
I think I will need to format and reinstall Windows... Maybe  ::)

As i suspected you are probab;y missing  Service Packs...which will create this error...
BTW You didn't answer the question....Open Explorer and from the File Menu select Help/About Windows and report back with your findings...
