Duel Video Cards
« on: September 16, 2005, 06:31:16 AM »
I recently baught a gforce4000 card for my computer to play 3d games. Im not a huge gamer, so I didnt want to spend the money on a high end card, this one works great. Now on to my question, I decided to hook my cable tv to my computer so I can watch and record tv shows to my hard drive. I bought a Hauppauge WinTV GO-Plus videcard for my tv tuner. So can I use my Gforce card for gaming and my TV tuner for recording/watching shows? is 2 video cards possible? One AGP and one PCI, will this be a problem? is it very difficult to implement? Sorry for the cunfusing writing.. its late and Im tired.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the motherboard support dual video cards?

You should  be able to. I doubt that the TV tuner card is recognized as a videocard.  Perhaps it can not even function as a videocard. (No VGA or DVI-I connector? No videocard.)

Refer to the manual or sales person to remove doubts.
