    slow startup

    It takes 10 to 12 min to start my computer.
    I have

    Dell Dimension 8400
    Microsoft Windows XP service pack 3
    2 GB of Ram

    Have done following:

    defrag mented drive
    Ran CC clean
    deleted all temp files
    limited start up program to run.

    1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?
    2) How long does it take to start in safe mode?
