Shrunk

    Everything suddenly shrunk to a very small size and when I tried to change the font & reboot pc nothing happened

Are you talking about the desktop or the browser or everything? Are you talking about just fonts or icons or everything? What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

Please provide some information so we can try to help you.

I'm talking about everything. When I logged into internet explorer everything was shrunk down to an unreadable size. The entire browser etc. I've tried rebooting, changing fonts and nothing seemed to work. what happened was I was on a site and it suggested that I hit the ctrl button so all the content could be read and when I did that everything shrunk

So it's NOT everything, it's just the browser. Go to VIEW - and choose the size of the text you want - or if your mouse has a scroll wheel press CTRL on the keyboard and use the scroll wheel to adjust the size of the text.
