win95 no sound device in device manager
« on: September 19, 2005, 09:46:35 PM »
I'm setting up an older computer for a game i liked to play(usnf97 awsume combat fs).The sound, video and game controlers (all one device) is not showing up in device manager.I've tried to have the system detect through add hardware in control panel.can't think of what eles to try. It's shown up before on a faulty install of the os so its been fdisk and reformatted and good reinstall. I have drivers for it but not sure what to do.

mainboard is ECS P6SET-ml Peteum(r) with SIS620 chipset

You need to install the drivers for the hardware.

I did a quick google search for ECS p6SET and got a link to this page. Is this what you wanted?

Google is your friend. You can do it too.
