Wireless Network
« on: September 20, 2005, 04:27:26 AM »
I am currently connected to a wireless network using the BT Voyager 2100 Wireless router, my computer uses a Card which came with the router to connect to the network.

However I have recently bought a new laptop which has its own inbuilt wireless adapter, however when searching for the network with the wireless adapter on and the security settings off it cannot detect it.

How do I get my laptop to connect to this network.

Thanks

barbo

are you able to connect to the router log in screen at all??
usually can do this with router's ip in browser addy bar.  Should let you log into router.
On pc is wireless network showing that it's getting a signal??
this may help too:  Step 4: Install wireless adapters on your computers
You must install a compatible 802.11g or 802.11b wireless adapter on all computers you want to connect to your wireless network.

from the user guide found here:  http://www.voyager.bt.com/2100/support.htm
good luck
