What have you tried so far and what has lead to this problem?

I have gone through my internet options to check for any wrong settings there but they all seem to be correctly set-up . Ihave gone to Java control panel to make sure the settings there are correctly set up , I have also had a friend go through his settings with me so i can make mine match his cos his works. The java script is enabled but i cannot seem to get the java applet to work .... I deleted java and re-installed it to see if there was a corrupted file or some sort of error i had made and I also had no luck after that. When i try to load a applet i get a red cross in a box to the top left of the applet and that is it.

What has led to this problem?

What browser are you using?

Have you scanned for Viruses, Trojan Horses and Spyware?

Are you using an utility to block Javascript? (E.g.: NoScript)

Yes i have scanned using PC-Cillin , Spyware Doctor and Microsoft Anti-Spyware, what led to the problem is unknown(if i did no this i would probably know how to fix it)  I do know that i have used java applets in the past and have had no problems until today. I am unsure about what u mean about using a utility that blocks javascript i have run a test and javascript is enabled and works but no applet.

You'd be surprised.

Try the following:

3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Security tab
6. Reset all security zones to Default

And/or

1. Start
2. Settings

You may need to do the following as well

4. Internet Options
5. General tab
6. Remove cookies, temporary files and history

Are you certain that you are accepting the Java applets in Internet Explorer?

I have not used the browser for quite a while, but I do know that certain plug-ins such as ActiveX are blocked and a yellow bar appears.

If that is not the case, download Mozilla Firefox
