Graphics Card
« on: September 21, 2005, 12:13:31 PM »
Hi
Is there anyway to determine the heat of a Graphics card. I have a PNY Geforce fx 5900 XT that i have just overclocked abit, so i want to see if its getting to hot and if there is somthing that can read the heat. Does anyone know what is an exeptable heat for a Graphics card.

Not all videocard come with heat sensors.

As soon as artifacting appears or the videocard decides to give up the ghost you'll know you've reached a level of heat which is unacceptable.

I don't know why you bother overclocking if you don't know the answer to the above question.

Overclocking is a poor idea unless you like to replace components or are wealthy. And if you are wealthy why not just buy a faster card???
