Reinstall xp from windows 7 upgrade?
    « on: May 25, 2012, 04:22:51 PM »
Hi,  I have an Old HP pavilion model 533w and I have all the disk to reinstall the xp OS, I upgraded to windows 7 but the pc is too old to handle it!

Can I just start a Destructive System Recovery using the hp disks (7) to revert back to xp and get rid win7 for now?

I dont care about saving any files I have what I need on a flash drive etc.

A Socket478 Celeron 2GHz w/1GB RAM can barely run WinXP SP3.  What made you think it would run Win7?
Yes, reinstall WinXP.  The install will erase everything.
