I took a look and my video card was burnt out i replaced my video and every sense i did that whenever i power up my computer shortly after the log in screen it goes black. I then replaced the power supply with a bigger one and its continuing to still go black? any ideas what needs to be done?

It would seem that the motherboard was also damaged.
    Was it a AGP card?

Bad news. You need some help. The AGP slot is charred and is a almost a short circuit. Carbon is a conductor of electricity. You need to scrape away all the black stuff and fix any melted pins.

You can not use the AGP slot again. U bless you are lucky.
Just get some kind of card that will work in the PCI slots.
What is the model of your motherboard?
