    FINDING MS DOS ON XP
    « on: June 08, 2012, 05:59:23 PM »
OK I give up. Finding MS DOS on XP was selectable on "all programs", but I foolishly downloaded Microsoft's upgrades.  After unscrambling my computer a multitude of times. I find that MS DON is no longer selectable in all programs. I know you people can help me out on this, as I have been helped in the past.  Thanks a lot.

I am sure that Command Prompt, under all programs -> accessories does the work of MS-DOS, if i am not correct, someone then please do correct me.
I consider myself a hacker. Not in the way of "I can break into your facebook" but in the way, I like to learn as much as I can, about anything i can. I don't just like having things fixed, I like to understand why it was broken and why a particular solution fixed it. It is just how I am, and how I will always be. As teachers have said before, you cant learn if you don't figure it out in your own mind.

Yes, from the start menu select Run then type CMD and hit enter.
The command line is like DOS. But it is not DOS.

XP was built on the NT kernel, not DOS
