Excel 2000 range name problem on ME and on Vista Home...
    « on: June 12, 2012, 07:37:05 AM »
Excel 2000 problem noticed on ME first (and put down to ME's age!) and then strangely on Vista Home...a ranges name is shown in the cell itself superimposed on top of the value in the cell.

Well that's the long and the short and I can't add much other than to say, I have found no clue as to why it happens or how to turn it off but wonder whether it is something in Vista compatibility settings for excel 2000.

N.B. The particular file in question has macros which were 99% written in Excel 2000 and 1% in 2007 but there is no reason of which I am aware as to suspect incompatibility.

    Thanks.

If you open a blank spreadsheet (with no macros) and name a few ranges, does the same behavior occur?
