i just got usb headphones which model is RHTS-8206 and the sound works fine on them and i talk into the mic when im not listening to anything and i can hear myself but when i go to use steam and make a voice call it changes over to the recording device of the headphones but the headphones stop putting sound out and the only way to hear anyone is to disable the recording device part of the headphones and then i cant say anything oh and i dont know if this will help but when i got to the properties of the playback device part of the headphones it has settings for the mic and the headphones speakers even though when i disable the mic as the recording device steam shows the playback device as what its using
