    FAX through computer
    « on: August 25, 2012, 02:08:40 PM »

I have PCs having Window XP as OS and inter-connected through LAN. I also access Internet through a Broad Band aDSL modem (BSNL, India). How can I make and receive FAX using PCs & Broad Band service. Is there any In-built feature in my OS?  or Is there any software?

    Please help.

Good afternoon Bishu Halder and welcome to CH

If you do a lot of faxing you may want get something like efax (cost depends on how much you do) but if you still have a house phone just use your old modem for just faxing.

If you do a google search for lan faxing or efaxing and you will have more options that you can read ;D

    Hope this helps, Mike

Do you have an AIO (All-in-One) printer, which includes fax capability?  Does your printer software show anything about faxing?
