    Mysterious folder in C drive
    « on: September 05, 2012, 09:37:19 AM »
There is a folder in C drive named read & execute which is protected. When I double-click on it ,it opens and shows various folders in it,each named as a number(1041,1042,2070,3042...total 26 folders) and another one named graphics.

I am unable to access any of those.

When I try to access it , it show that I need permission to access this folder and I need to click continue to get access to this folder. When I click continue, it shows that I have been denied. I tried going to properties and set permissions to the folder but that too was fruitless.

When I go to the properties, it shows that it has no files or folders in it and it is of 0 bytes.

BUT when I scan it with Microsoft security essentials, it does scan some files in the folder.

I can post screenshots if needed.

I have windows 7 Home Basic.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Those are native Windows folders/files that are part of the permissions features built into Windows.
